The Mystery Revealed in the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

Updated: Dec 13, 2020

Testing the Pre-Tribulation Rapture.

Did you know that there was practically no teaching(s) on the "pre-tribulation rapture" prior to 1830? Martin Luther and John Calvin, both leaders in the protestant reformation, never taught this theology? Where did this teaching come from?

In 1830 John Nelson Darby popularized the pre-tribulation rapture theology. Darby is known as the “father of dispensationalism” in today’s modern church theology.

The pre-tribulation theology was further popularized by:

  • Scofield Reference Bible in the early 20th century.

  • A Thief in the Night the 1970’s film by Don Thompson which sold more than 300 million copies.

  • Left Behind the 1995 series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jinkins has been viewed and/or read by million(s) of people. This series of writing includes; 16 books, 4 movies and a video game.

It is easy to see how "Hollywood" had its hand in developing this idea in today's modern church theology.

What is dispensationalism?

Dispensationalism teaches that YAHUAH works through different administrations at different times throughout history and in the future millennial kingdom.

There could be an entire study written to breakdown all of the theology(s) that have been developed through the belief of dispensations as related to the history of mankind. However, I want to focus on attributions to the pre-tribulation rapture theology and the relationship of Israel and the church. Dispensationalism teaches that Israel is separate from believers in Messiah. Dispensationalists believe in Darby's teaching of a "secret rapture" of believers in the Messiah before YAHs promises to Israel are fulfilled. Dispensationalism separates believers in Messiah from the Law of YAHUAH.

For me, it is easy to dismiss dispensational theology because Scripture tells us that YAHUAH does not change, that YAH's people are Israel now and forever, and when YAH's people are to be gathered to Him.

You'll have to stick with this study all the way to the end so that you can examine the scriptural proof that is being presented. It is up to you to test what is being given to the Word of YAHUAH. YOU must try everything that you believe according to The Scripture. You should not accept any teaching from anyone that contradicts that Word of YAH.

If you hold to dispensational theology, then this study will challenge those beliefs. If you believe that YAH's people are only the "so-called" Jews living in the land called Israel, this study will challenge it. If you think that your belief in Messiah YAHUSHA will cause you to be raptured before the time of Jacob's trouble, then this study will challenge that too.

I expect that some people may turn away from this study before reaching the end because considering that they have believed a lie may be too difficult for them. But for others, who already wonder about the conflicts that they see between what theology teaches and what they read in The Scriptures, they may find a blessing here encouraging them to continue searching the scriptures for answers and looking only to YAH for understanding.

"YHWH is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?"

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

"Your word, Oh YHWH, is everlasting; it is firmly fixed in the heavens."

"My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips."

I read the "Left Behind" Series, watched the movies and bought the theology that I was taught until I could not find the theology in the Word of the living Elohim. My reading of the Scripture caused me to question what I had been taught by mainstream theology. The following verses were instrumental in pressing me to search for answers.

"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope For if we believe that YAHUSHA died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in YAHUSHA will YHWH bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of YHWH, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of YAH shall not prevent them which are asleep. For YAH himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the shofar of YHWH: and the dead in MASHIACH shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet YAH in the air: and so shall we ever be with YHWH. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The word “PREVENT” in Verse 15 is Strong's Greek: 5348. φθάνω (phthanó) and could also be rendered “shall not come before” them which are asleep.

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a shofar, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

There are three sequences of events in Matthew 24:29-31 and 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18.

1. YAH descends

2. Shofar sounds

3. ELECT RISE- Dead in YAHUSHA Ha'Mashiach rise 1st and then the elect (who

remain) are gathered.

We've been so incredibly deceived over the years that many believers blindly accept dispensationalism, Darby's "secret rapture," and the teachings of modern theology. We should believe YAH rather than men.

With itching ears, this theology is received because it's easier for people to believe that they can escape tribulation. I'm sure that other doctrines have influenced our desire to believe the most comfortable message. The prosperity teaching is loved and accepted by many people today even though the Messiah said in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Today, most people would rather watch television and let Hollywood tell them how to think and how to live. But none of that lines up with Scripture. Tribulation is nothing new to believers. All throughout Scripture, we see men and women of faith going through some kind of tribulation. Let's remember that in Matthew 24:29, the Messiah says, when speaking about the signs of his coming, "immediately following the tribulation." There is so much to consider when you dig for answers in the scriptures themselves.

Consider the parable of the weeds….

"YAHUSHA told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared."

“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

“ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

“ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ”

In this parable you can see that the tares are gathered 1st and burned and the Messiah is speaking of the end time harvest as he further explains in Matthew 13:37-43

"He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels."

“As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear."

Also notice in the following verses that it is the believers who endure to the end are saved.

"Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved."

"You will be hated by everyone on account of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved."

"'He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS;"

Also, consider that Scripture tells that believers come out of the tribulation not that they are gathered before tribulation.

"Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

"I answered, "Sir, you know."

And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

"I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one."

At this point it should be clear that the pre-tribulation rapture is a false idea false idea and that YAH's people are gathered at the end.

AWAKEN SLEEPER! You were born for a time such as this!

Who are the people named; “the Elect of YAHUAH?”

Modern theology teaches that "the elect" are the Jews, but the Scripture teaches that the Jews are one tribe, Judah's house, from the house of Israel.

Today's seminary schools teach religious leaders how to interpret the "Olivet Discourse" of the parallel passages.

Many seminaries and Bible colleges define who the parallel gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are written to.

Today's religious teachers are taught the following:

  • Matthew is for the Jews

  • Mark is for the Romans

  • Luke is for the Greeks

  • John is for everyone

YAHUSHA tells us in Mark 13:37 that this is not true!

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

The "elect" of YAHUAH can be found in the scriptures below, and they are described 10 times as believers, 2 times Jews, 1-time gentiles, 2 times YAHUSHA, and 1 time Jacob.

The “elect” of YAHUAH can be found in the scriptures below and they are described 10 times as believers, 2 times Jews, 1 time gentiles, 2 times YAHUSHA, and 1 time Jacob.

Scripture references as follows:

Who are the Gentiles?

The word gentile stems from the Hebrew term goy, which means a "nation." This was applied both to the Hebrews and to any other nation. The plural, goyim, especially with the definite article, ha-goyim, "the nations," meant nations of the world that were not of Hebrew faith.

I do not want to be considered as a nation of the world. I am a "grafted in" believer in the faith of the Messiah. According to Scripture, I am grafted in as Abraham's seed and an heir according to the promise.

Who are the Jews?

The Jews are one tribe, the house of Judah, from the house of Israel. YAHUAH promises to restore the scattered remnant when they repent and obey His voice.

"I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back!' Bring my sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth."

"Thus declares YHWH, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: "I will gather them still other besides those already gathered."

"And when you and your children return to YHWH your ELOHIM and obey HIS voice with all your heart and all your soul according to everything I am giving today, then HE will restore you from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you from all the nations to which you YHWH your ELOHIM has scattered you. Even if you have been banished to the ends of the earth, He will gather you and return you from there..."

"But if you return to Me to keep and practice My commandments, then even if your exiles have been banished to the ends of the earth, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for My Name."

Is the law for the Jews only?

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, male nor female: for ye are all one in YAHUSHA HaMashiach. And if you belong to YAHUSHA, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise."

"And do not presume to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that out of these stones, YHWH can raise up children for Abraham."

"The same law shall apply to both the native and the foreigner who resides among you."

"The assembly is to have the same status for both you and the foreign resident; it is a permanent statute for the generations to come. You and the foreigner shall be the same before YHWH."

"The same law and the same ordinance will apply both to you and the foreigner residing with you."

If you have the faith of YAHUSHA, then you are Israel, whether blood-born descendants or grafted in, and it is time to start walking according to your calling. Do not continue to waiver believing the teachings of men. Come out of religion.

"…..We must obey YAH, rather than men."

My family and I discovered the truth of YAHUAH's forever law during our quest for the truth about the pre-tribulation rapture. We were very involved in our local church community. Many people that we considered close friends in the faith turned their back to us and believed that we had fallen away from the faith of YAHUSHA (Jesus). This is not true, and as we drew closer to our Messiah, we simply wanted to demonstrate our love for him.

One of the rebuttals that we heard consistently as we shared our testimony of the Messiah and keeping HIS commands was, "But the greatest commandment is love, and all the law and prophets hang on love, therefore if I act in love, I have fulfilled the law.

But, let us look closely at the verses being referenced by this statement.

"YAHUSHA replied, "Love YHWH your ELOHIM with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment, and the second is like it; Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

After a closer examination of these verses, we can see that YAHUSHA has given us two commands regarding love:

1) Love YAHUAH your ELOHIM with all your heart and with all your soul and mind.

2) Love your neighbor as yourself

Since the first and greatest commandment is to love YAHUAH with all our heart, soul, and mind, it will help us search the Scripture to understand what loving YAH means.

"For this is the Love of YAHUAH, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome."

"If you love Me, you will keep my commandments."

"Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him."

"YAHUSHA replied, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him."

"By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments."

"And this is love that we walk according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning that you must walk in love."

"And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love and keep my commandments."

"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him….

"If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love…..

Loving YAH = Keeping HIS Commandments.

We pray that this study has blessed you and encourages you to continue with perseverance in your race.
